COURSE DESCRIPTION
|
|
Ultrasonic testing level I course provides the knowledge required to understand
the method, operate the ultrasonic flaw detector and perform weld scanning. Our
course structure is compiled based on the recommendations of ASNT’s document SNT-TC-1A.

|
- UT theory and its applications
- Advantages and limitations of UT
- Codes /standards requirements as per ASTM, ASME, AWS & BS etc.
- Familiarization of the equipment and probes
- Calibration of the equipment and probe using various reference blocks
- Scanning on different type of weld specimen
|

COURSE DURATION
|
|
5 Days (40 hours) of training Examination (Theory, Specific and Practical)
40% class-room training with power point presentation, lecture and Q&A.
60% hands-on practical on A-Star engineered weld flaw samples.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
|
|
Engineers, inspectors and technicians aspiring to acquire the knowledge in ultrasonic
testing. This course provides access to employer based qualification and certification.

|
CERTIFICATION
|
|
NDT UT level I certificate will be provided on successful completion of General,
Specific and Practical examinations with an aggregate of 80%.
|

We provide training materials, UT equipment & probes, calibration blocks and sample
specimens.
