LIQUID PENETRANT TESTING (PT) LEVEL II (CODE:AS206)

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Liquid penetrant testing level II course provides the knowledge required to understand the method, operate the equipment and perform testing. Our course structure is compiled based on the recommendations of ASNT’s document SNT-TC-1A.

• PT theory and its applications
• Advantages and limitations of PT
• Codes / standards requirements as per ASTM, ASME, AWS & BS etc.
• Familiarization of the equipment / chemicals
• Pre cleaning requirements and methods
• Types of penetrant and its application
• Types of developers and its application
• Perform testing on products
• Interpreting and evaluating the test data
• Preparation of the reports

COURSE DURATION

4 Days (32 hours) of training Examination (Theory, Specific and Practical)
40% class-room training with power point presentation, lecture and Q&A.
60% hands-on practical on A-Star engineered weld flaw samples.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Engineers, inspectors and technicians aspiring to acquire the proficiency and knowledge in liquid penetrant testing. This course provides access to employer based qualification and certification.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION

NDT PT level II certificate will be provided on successful completion of General, Specific and Practical examinations with an aggregate of 80%.

We provide training materials, PT equipment / chemicals and sample specimens.
